TMZ reports the official cause of death of GLEE star, 31-year-old Cory Monteith, has been determined. According to the British Columbia Coroners Service an autopsy and toxicological analysis has determined that Monteith died from a “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.” TMZ reports that Monteith has suffered from substance abuse since he was a teenager and had spent some time in rehab earlier this year before being found dead in his hotel room on July 13th.
So sad when young talented people die unnecessarily, our thoughts are with the family and friends of Cory Monteith during this difficult time.
